Minimalist posters for Iranian 70′s TV Cinema radio

Jomeh Bazzar was a popular 70′s variety radio program that was conducted by a very popular presenter Fereydoun Farrokhzad. He was also a singer, actor and a poet. His sister Forough Farrokhzad is also one of Iran’s prominent poets, and the first feminist poet figure.
Farrokhzad who was a well educated and cultured man (Ph.D. in political science from a university in Berlin) had a great sense of humor. His manner was westernized, he was famous for being a flirt but also charming with female Artists. After the revolution he lived in exile and often made jokes about Ayatollah Khomeini. For this the agents of the Islamic Republic took revenge and savagely murdered him in his apartment he was stabbed 40 times with a knife. Amongst many Iranians he is regarded as an educated patriot. In this particular poster I wanted to have a colour image of him to represent his vibrant personality. May he rest in peace.
