I-have-no-feelings

This is a triptych telling the story of a political prisoner who is incarcerated inside a small space. Constraint movement in a small space causes madness in some prisoners. He is interrogated and tortured. The white light torture or sensory deprivation torture creates disorientation hence the blurriness in the second panel in contrast to sharpness of the first panel. In the first panel the presence of bats symbolises madness and also the existence of a fundamentalist element that went unnoticed until the revolution. The third panel shows decomposing of blood into soil and a disintegration which bring more blood and taints a nation. Many are killed and buried in unmarked graves in this way.
The phrase “I have no feelings” was a quote from Ayatollah Khomeini. He was asked how he felt about going home after years of exile and he provided a response that became symbolic of his psychopathic cruelty towards his fellow Iranians. The phrase “I have no feelings” has been turned into semi-abstract Persian calligraphy, disguised, spread or sometimes visible in all three panels.
This is a work in a new school of work called DaGod. DaGod is derived from Dada but unlike Dada it is movement against the crimes of religious fundamentalism.
DaGod is my own invented Art school and there are only a few works in this style. The controversial nature of the work has resulted in one of my works from this school to be shown on CNN and VOA. The first panel has also become an Album cover of a South African band called Bipolar Rats. DaGod often carries dark artistic humour and elements of it are similar to religious iconography (in this case the golden sculpted frames which are part of the work).
Please note price is per painting rather than the 3 panels. Print of individual items is also available.

The Mourning mothers

I modeled this sculpture with clay and cast it in plaster. It is titled Mourning mothers. It is a homage to the Mourning mothers group in Iran i.e. mothers whose political children were executed by the regime and turned to a protest group.

Love Campaign

The Israel-loves-Iran love campaign which was started by Ronny Edry is still going strong.

On both Iranian-Israeli sides there are people who are fighting for peace.

I am proud to say I took part in this campaign on the Iranian side. The Facebook group has 65000 member.

We have an equivalent Iran-loves-Israel group with about 20,000 members.

Ronny started this by this statement:

My name is Ronny, I’m 41 years old. I’m a father, a teacher, a Graphic Designer.
I’m an Israeli citizen and I need your help.

Lately, in the news, we’ve been hearing about a war coming while we the common people are sitting and watching it coming like it has nothing to do with us.

On March 15th, I posted a poster on Facebook. The message was simple.
Iranians. We love you. We will never bomb your country

Within 24 hours, thousands of people shared the poster on Facebook, and I started receiving messages from Iran.
The next day, we got featured on TV and newspapers, proving that the message was traveling. Fast.

Please help us prevent this war by spreading this message. make your own posters , send this message to your friends and share it.

We are raising money in order to produce more posters and keep the movement grow.

thanks to all of you for your support and love.

may we prevent this war.

I published this cartoon when it was rumoured that Khamenei is preparing his son as an heir apparent.
Mojtaba was responsible for leading the crack down on the Green movement protesters after the rigged election.

End of Gaddafi

End of Gaddafi, a photo by doodle_juice on Flickr.

Finally the mad tyrant is dead.
I made this drawing on my IPAD back in August and expected his end then.
One thing about this is that such a violent end is not a good start for a new regime. Take my word for it, when a regime ends with violence another violent regime that goes from one revolutionary extreme to another takes over.
What’s more it is perhaps time to question all those Western regimes that helped such a vermin stay in power for so long, I mean it is one thing for the British PM to remind us all of the tragic death of PC Ivan Fletcher and the Lockerbie bombings and another when not so long ago we are remind that Tony Blair went off to Libya shaking the hand of this madman.

Images are made from the phrase:Each war brings its own disease”

In this case the disease is the violence that has erupted from hatred fueled by religious fundamentalism.

A DaGod style poster I did a while ago. I republished it to celebrate the fall of Gaddafi. May all dictators follow.
