A homage to Francis Bacon. I’ve turned Bacon to Halal Beef as a DaGod school transformation.

The Mourning mothers

I modeled this sculpture with clay and cast it in plaster. It is titled Mourning mothers. It is a homage to the Mourning mothers group in Iran i.e. mothers whose political children were executed by the regime and turned to a protest group.

I published this cartoon when it was rumoured that Khamenei is preparing his son as an heir apparent.
Mojtaba was responsible for leading the crack down on the Green movement protesters after the rigged election.

This is a work on the contradictory aspect of faith. This is when the message of faith is that it brings peace but it creates division.
It says:
Worship my god or I’ll hit you on the head!

Bakhtak is a demon that attacks at night whilst you are sleeping and sucks your life source. Here a Mullah is depicted as such a demon attacking a sleeping woman.

I saw so many from the generation of revolutionaries, bow down and regret the mad frenzy of their youth. The fever that left them blindly hand the golden keys of power to the most corrupt, backward elements of our society. These men and women living in diaspora, watched as their families transformed and scattered. Many living lonely lives, many wondering where their lives went.

A DaGod style poster I did a while ago. I republished it to celebrate the fall of Gaddafi. May all dictators follow.

Made from plaster and wrapped in black cloth this particular sculpture represents the gathering of Iranian mothers whose children have been killed by the Iranian regime for their political beliefs.

The process of changing a well-known work to fit DaGod subject matter is called recuperation.
Here Mona Lisa has been forced under Hijab and her name has become amah lisa.
In Middle Eastern culture mothers are often named by the name of their sons, e.g. mother of so and so. amah in Arabic means mother.
